How are you all doing? This week has been really great actually. Things have been slowly picking up after Tết, but the big scare from the virus has kept people from returning from their hometowns and returning to the city, so things have still been pretty empty. And we've had to implement a lot of policies for virus prevention and to help make people feel safer because theres been a couple cases here in saigon, so everybody's pretty scared.

Anyway, last monday after playing bang at the church in district one for pday, all the trainer s and new missionaries had the chance to meet with the mission president and talk about our feelings from being new missionaries and to recommit to some things we were getting lazy on. It was so good! We learned lots, and it made me feel revigorized to keep on going.

Tuesday the Thủ Đức missionaries filmed a special video for a special English class we were going to have this week! We also made some special coupons and envelopes 30.minutes of free one on one practice. Unfortunately, all educational activities have been cancelled by the government this week, so we wont have it this week. But next week will be awesome!

Wednesday was zone conference. And wowee. I learned a lot. It was interesting because a lot of the things we discussed had actually been on my mind for the past couple of days, so its good to know that the spirit has been keeping us all on the same page. Anyway, we talked about the doctrine of desire.

It was very interesting to me. We show our true desires by what we do. So when people say they desire to lose weight, but then just keep on watching TV all day, is that really their desire? No. Their desire is to watch tv all day. Likewise, if I choose to be lazy or not to be obedient or choose to be unkind to someone, is my desire really to be a good missionary? No, it isn't. But the good thing is, even if your desire isn't exactly what it should be in order to change for the better, even if you just have the desire to have the desire, God can help you with that. You just have to be courageous in doing the things that the spirit reveals to you. And a lot of times, that comes in the form of those nagging thoughts that come to us like " I really shouldn't be doing this" or "I should be doing this instead ".

The rest of the week was also good. Chú Cường passed his baptismal interview and will be baptized next week after 45 years of waiting. I could not be happier for him!

We also began to teach some other people this week, and plan to continue teaching those who are just returning.

Today, basically all the missionaries in the south got to play sports game together. Like soccer, basketball, this vietnamese hacky sack type game, frisbee, all the works. It was super fun. Anyway, the church is true, and I love you! Love to hear from you! Have a great week!
